Over $300,000 in fundraising events held by Moose Media in 2025

At Moose Media, being involved in the community means more than promoting events. It means organizing them, hosting them, and going live on the radio to help make them successful.

In 2025, Moose Media helped raise $305,854 through direct fundraising. These are events where our team played an active role in organizing, hosting, and broadcasting to drive donations. This does not include the many other fundraisers we supported solely through on-air promotion.

Here is a look at the events that make up this total.

Remax Action Realty Seniors Society Radiothon

$70,337 Raised

Moose FM and Remax Action Realty partnered with the Fort St. John Seniors Society for a live radiothon to support programs and services for local seniors. Funds raised were used to upgrade the facility’s kitchen.

Literacy Society Radiothon – Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

$39,185 Raised

In partnership with the Fort St. John Literacy Society, Moose FM hosted a live radiothon supporting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. The program provides free books to children from birth to age five, helping build early literacy skills and encouraging a love of reading in families across the region.

Chances Light a Moose Radiothon

$163,832 Raised

Chances Casino Light a Moose continues to be one of the region’s most recognized annual fundraisers. In 2025, the event raised $163,832 to support the purchase of critical equipment for the Fort St. John Hospital. Funds will help secure important upgrades that strengthen patient care locally and ensure families in the North Peace have access to high-quality medical services close to home.

Co-op Community Christmas Concert – North Peace Pregnancy Care Centre

$2,500 Raised

The Co-op Community Christmas Concert once again brought the community together during the holiday season. This year’s event raised $2,500 in support of the North Peace Pregnancy Care Centre and the services they provide to local families.

Annual Toy Drive

Estimated $10,000 in Toys Collected

While not a direct cash total, the estimated value of toys collected during the Home Hardware and Strait Group Toy Drive reached approximately $10,000. These donations helped ensure local children and families had support during the holiday season.

A Significant Impact for a Community Our Size

Raising $305,854 through direct, locally organized fundraisers is a significant achievement for a community the size of Fort St. John. It reflects the generosity of local residents, the commitment of local businesses, and the power of local radio when it brings people together for a shared purpose.

Thank you to every donor, sponsor, volunteer, and listener who took part in these efforts throughout 2025. When our community is asked to step up, it consistently does.

We are proud to play a role in that story.
