Moose Media is looking to add a Part-Time Social Media Coordinator to our team.

The Social Media Coordinator plays a key role in creating and managing social media accounts for clients on behalf of Moose Media. This position primarily focuses on content creation, platform management, and campaign execution across various social media platforms. We are looking for someone who can work in a fast-paced environment, loves working with people, and has a fun and creative personality. Our ideal candidate will work well with many clients and team members and be flexible in hours according to our clients’ needs.

This position is part-time with a guaranteed 20 hours/week with potential for more. We are hiring for a 6-month contract with the potential to become a permanent position. We will work with the right candidate on a weekly schedule that works best for their lifestyle.

Duties Include:

  • Creating, curating, and scheduling engaging content across various social media platforms
  • Schedule and publish content to ensure consistent activity and audience engagement.
  • Maintain brand consistency and adherence to client guidelines across all digital assets.
  • Maintain brand kits for each client, ensuring a consistent and cohesive brand presence across all digital content.
  • Monitor and engage with the audience on social media platforms by responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
  • Address any customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally; when needed, in collaboration with the Digital Marketing Manager.
  • Uphold the brand’s reputation (on behalf of clients and Moose Media) and foster positive interactions within the online community.
  • Collaborate with clients, as needed, to understand their objectives and preferences for social media content.
  • Provide regular updates on campaign performance and, in collaboration with the Digital Marketing Manager, suggest optimization strategies.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients and ensuring a smooth transition into social media management.
  • Implement social media campaigns according to predefined strategies and objectives.
  • Monitor campaign performance metrics and provide timely reports to clients.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to align campaign messaging with overall marketing initiatives. (Internal campaigns)
  • Utilize analytics tools to track key performance indicators and assess the effectiveness of social media efforts.
  • Monitoring social media for brand mentions and addressing any issues or negative feedback that may arise.
  • Working closely with other teams for cohesive campaign execution.
  • Ensuring brand consistency across various digital platforms.
  • Content Sharing to promote events and content, leveraging broader audience engagement.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest social media trends, platform updates, and best practices.
  • Professional Development: Continually improving knowledge and skills in social media.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in social media management
  • Certifications in social media management, digital marketing, or graphic design can be advantageous, such as those from recognized platforms or institutions (e.g., Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite), but are not required.
  • Proficiency in content creation, including graphic design, copywriting, and video production.
  • Knowledge and experience working with multiple social media platforms, including Meta Business Suite, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and Pinterest.
  • Knowledge and experience working with CapCut or other video editing tools, Canva, and Google Workspace Programs
  • Familiarity with paid social media campaigns and analytics tools.
  • Must be able to perform all the physical requirements of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation. You may be required to stand, walk, bend or perform other physical movements while capturing content or attending events.
  • Valid Class 5 or 7 driver’s license in British Columbia

Compensation

An hourly wage of $20/hour. You will also have access to a free gym membership and to opportunities to get tickets to events in the area.
