Get Ready for Spooks and Good Deeds: The Fort St. John Co-op Haunted Halloween Walk

As the crisp autumn air settles and the leaves finish crunching beneath our boots, spook season reaches its peak in Fort St. John. Mark your calendars for October 30 and 31 to catch the ultimate mix of Halloween scares and community fundraising!

The Fort St. John Co-op Haunted Halloween Walk, supported by McDonalds, Fort Motors, and The Historic Red Barn Pub & Grill, is bringing spine-tingling scares, community cheer, and Halloween magic to one of our town’s favorite natural trails – Fish Creek.

What to Expect at Fish Creek

The Haunted Walk transforms the familiar pathways of Fish Creek into a spooky realm where ghosts, ghouls, and creatures of the night come out to play. Designed to give visitors of all ages a fun Halloween thrill, in hopes of it becoming a staple tradition for families, friends, and fright fans alike.

Throw on your spookiest costume or layer up for the cold! You’re in for creepy trail scenery, live performances, and loads of Halloween excitement thanks to our amazing community volunteers.

Scary Good Causes: Giving Back to Our Community

The trail provides plenty of jumps and laughs, the heart of the event is all about local community support.

Admission for the event is by donation, with every penny raised split directly between two indispensable community organizations:

1. Stage North Theatre Society

Stage North plays a vital role in keeping culture, storytelling, and the performing arts thriving across the Peace Region. Donations help Stage North continue producing high-quality community theatre, nurturing local acting and production talent, and putting on entertaining performances year-round.

2. North Peace Search and Rescue (NPSAR)

Operating around the clock across a massive 41,500 square kilometer region, NPSAR’s dedicated volunteer team responds to emergencies, ground searches, and technical rescues. By donating, you help outfit our volunteer searchers with vital safety equipment, specialized vehicles, and the training needed to protect outdoor enthusiasts across the region.
